The San Joaquin County Homebrew Competition
seeks to showcase the innovative and passionate homebrewers
in the area. This competition aims to be both an interactive means
to engage with the public and showcase our brewers’ hard work
and talent.

This ticket represents one (!) single submission for the SJC Homebrewing Competition.

ENTRY FEE IS $10.00 PER CLASS PER ENTRY
LIMIT: UNLIMITED TOTAL ENTRIES
ONE (1) Entry per class
No Premiums Offered

Awards to Gold, Silver, Bronze and BEST OF SHOW

HOMEBREW RULES (All entries other than commercial)
A. Gold, Silver, and Bronze are awarded based on merit. Overall Best of Show is awarded in both homebrew and commercial categories.
B. American Homebrewer’s Associations rules shall apply unless they are in conflict with State Rules. AHA/BCJP Rules and Style
Guidelines are available at http://www.homebrewersassociation.org.
C. Special attention should be given to the Category and Style designations so that entries will be judged according to the proper style.
Entries in categories where BJCP Style Guidelines require specific descriptions must have the necessary information on entry forms and
bottle labels.
D. Each entry consists of three (3) bottles, 12 oz., brown or green glass, free of commercial labels, raised marks or lettering or other
identifying markings that are not part of the official entry label. For Strong Ale and Mead categories only, three (3) 7 oz. bottles will be
accepted. Clear glass bottles will not be accepted in beer categories.
E. Please attach with a rubber band a properly completed official bottle ID label (no tape or glue).
F. BE SURE that each entry has an accompanying Entry Form, with payment attached.
G. Entries become the property of the San Joaquin County Fair and will not be returned.
H. Commercially produced beers or those produced at a brewery on premises facility are not eligible. (Enter those in the Commercial
Competition.)
I. The competition organizer reserves the right to disqualify any entries not meeting the above guidelines.
Enter according to the following Fair category and class #, using 2021 BJCP Style Guideline descriptions. Classes will be consolidated or split
based on number of entries and style characteristics.
